  I chose sports as my genre because I love the competitiveness, it gets me excited and because it provides an escape from life. I chose football as the sub genre because that is my favorite sport and because I am familiar with this topic. I plan to create a sports magazine that any sports lover can appreciate. My target demographic will be teenage boys because a vast amount watches sports. Football players will be represented in my product.

1.) The genre of this magazine is sports. This is because of the fact there is a football player as the

main image. The audience for this magazine is for young boys because this is a new and upcoming

football star. The player is in front of the masthead which happens a lot in sports magazines. What

stood out to me about this particular magazine is the purple and white color scheme.         

 2.)The genre of this magazine is sports. The intended audience for this magazine is older men

because the player has played for a very long time and is very respected. I chose this magazine

because of its story-line. This magazine has placed the player in front of the masthead which is a

convention in sports magazines.

3.)The genre of this magazine is sports. This magazine caters towards older men because the player is

retired and played the game a long time ago. This magazine caught my attention because of its

unconventional use of a marker font. The colors used in this magazine are blue and white.

Magazine analysis

1.) The masthead for this magazine is Pro Football. The player is placed in the middle of the magazine. There are cover lines to the left and right side. There is barcode in the bottom right of the magazine. The colors are purple and white which represents excitement and ambition.

2.) Sports Illustrated is the masthead for this magazine. There are a few cover lines which puts a lot of focus on the main image. The cover lines are found at the left and right side. There is no barcode found in this image. The color red and white on this magazine symbolizes passion and respect. 

3.) ESPN is the masthead for this football magazine. The player is covering most of the masthead. The cover lines in this magazine are in marker which is not used often in magazines, however, they still attract the reader's eye. The cover lines surround the player in the magazine. Introduction

My name is Wilkenson Philamar and I am seventeen years old. I attend Dillard High School 6-12. I have lived in Florida for the majority of  my life. One of my favorite hobbies is cycling. I usually go cycling on the weekends. My goal one day is to work as a mechanical engineer.

Animation is the type of media I enjoy watching the most. I've always been interested in it. I had aspirations to become an animator at one time in my life. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman: The Animated Series, and Avatar the Last Airbender are some of my favorite animated series. After taking this class I hope to have more of a better understanding and appreciation of media after.
